Last trip away: Xi-tou

This weekend we took our grand finale trip to Xi-tou and Shanlinxi. The highlights include the waterfalls, the misty tall mountains, the fireflies, the bamboos of various sorts, and abundant cool bugs and small creatures! A few pictures to share:






Finally, at the National Crafts Institute (or something like that) in Cao-tun, we met a very amazing "bug guy" who has made bugs are all sorts out of tree sap. Check out his blog if you want to see the extent to which he is obsessed with bugs and his new art form of bringing his passion of bugs to life. Our boys were, of course, totally enamored by his work. They each got a bug to take home.
