Camping at Memorial Park

As a finale to our one-year's fun life away from home, and in anticipation of Paul's departure, we had a 24-hour camping trip to Memorial Park, San Mateo, in the redwood forest of Santa Cruz Mountains, just an hour away.

I really enjoy camping with kids. Besides setting up the camp site, preparing for food, setting a campfire, you pretty much do nothing except being fully together, looking for sticks, going for short hikes, playing in the streams, throwing rocks in the water, or chat about everything and anything. I also like it because it's an economical way to have a short vacation. The kids love it. Noah's favorite is that we all go to sleep together, very cuddly (like Taiwanese families everyday :) "The family bed"!)
