Feeling like a tough east-coaster

For once, I really felt like a tough east-coaster. It's in the 40s here in Berkeley, and people keep saying how cold it is and how wintry it all seems. Having just been in DC, where the landscape shows true winter, and temperature much harsher at times, I have to laugh at these Californians. Come on! The trees are still green for one thing! What do you mean it's so cold! That said, the homes tend to be less insulated and the inside does feel colder than in many East coast homes. Anyway, it just doesn't look like winter here.

Stay warm, everyone, no matter where you are.
